Zach Hammaker

Research Assistant

Zach Hammaker is studying towards a dual Master of Landscape Architecture and Master of City Planning degree at the University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Landscape Contracting and Horticulture from Pennsylvania State University and has previously ran his own landscape design firm in the Philadelphia area.
 
His design interests lie at the intersection of planning, landscape architecture, and the environment – finding holistic solutions to the complexities of large-scale contemporary issues of climate change, cultural identity, socioeconomic disparity, and environmental degradation. Zach is an Ian L. McHarg Center Dual Degree Fellowship recipient.
