Tatum Phillips is in her second year of the Master of Landscape Architecture program at the University of Pennsylvania. Her work explores the design of enduring green spaces that thoughtfully engage with the past. A Brooklyn native, Tatum was drawn to landscape architecture for its ability to navigate the complex relationships between people, natural systems, and urban infrastructure—especially within dense city environments. Tatum brings a background in editorial and production work in publishing, as well as experience in content design and writing. She is currently exploring different modes of representation and approaches to design, guided by the belief that meaningful design reflects a sense of place and cultivates a deeper sense of connection between people and their surrounding communities.
