Bianca LaPaz

Bianca LaPaz just completed her first year of the Master of Landscape Architecture program at the University of Pennsylvania. She graduated from the College of Charleston in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in urban studies, concentrating in sustainable urbanism, and has completed certificates in horticulture and permaculture design. Alongside her studies, she is a Special Projects Manager with the The Asiko Group, a community engagement consulting firm based in Charleston, SC.

In her academic work, she seeks to explore synergistic and tactical resiliency strategies that utilize participatory design, invest in ecosystem services, apply nature-based solutions to both the built environment and public landscape management, and empower ongoing meaningful connection to and stewardship of everchanging place.
