Mavi Arias

Born and raised in Venezuela, Maria Victoria Arias Montero, also known as Mavi, graduated from UC Davis with a BSLA and is currently working on her Master of Landscape Architecture & Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania. Mavi is passionate about social justice through the lens of landscape architecture and city planning. Her work focuses on uncovering overlooked narratives from Latin American countries and immigrant communities in the United States. She is a founding member of the National Association of Minority Landscape Architects (NAMLA) student chapter at UC Davis and a founding member of the NAMLA University of Pennsylvania.
